Coaching Staff

Head Coach: Jason Pullano

Coach Pullano began swimming and coaching for the Bedford Splash T.A.A.F. swim team located in Bedford, TX (DFW). He also swam with Mid-Cities Arlington Swimming and Euless Trinity High School where he was awarded the HEBISD Swimmer of the Year and the first school record holder in over a decade.

After high school, Coach Pullano signed to swim with NCAA Division 2 Ouachita Baptist University. In 4 years at OBU, Pullano was named Academic-All NSISC 4 times, All-NSISC 3 times and NCAA Academic All-American Honorable mention his senior year. He graduated cum laude with bachelors of arts in Biology and Secondary Education.

Upon graduation, Pullano accepted the position of Head High School Swim Coach for Granbury ISD, succeeding Nick Vollmer. In his time at GHS, Pullano has led the Pirates to 4 consecutive District Championships (2015, 2016, 2017, and 2018) as well as consecutive Top 5 placings for the boys and girls at the Region 2-5A Championship meet (2015: 5th; 2016: 4th, 2017: 4th, 2018: 3rd). He was also named Boys and Girls District 7-5A Coach of the Meet in 2015 and 2018. He has coached at Texas A&M's annual summer swim camps in 2015, 2016, & 2017 and summer of 2018 he worked under NCAA coach of the year, Ray Looze, at Hoosier Swim Camp in Bloomington, Indiana.

Asst. Coach: Deneen Carter

Swimming Biography:

Coach Deneen Carter has just finished up a successful career at the division 1 level. While swimming for the University of North Texas Mean Green. she was a conference finalist focusing on mid distance freestyle events.

Her senior year, she finished with a career best time of 0:52.27 in the 100 FR and 1:52.22 in the 200 FR.

She graduated from UNT with a degree in kinesiology and will be the new elementary PE teacher at Acton Elementary in the fall.

She was a two time 5A (now 6A) state finalist in the 100 and 200 FR while swimming for Euless Trinity in the DFW metroplex. She also swam for the Fort Worth Area Swim Team under head coach Ron Forrest.

Coach Carter brings a load of experience to Granbury after coaching for the Seals rival, Frisco Area Swim Team and spending summers as a camp counselor at UNT’’s annual summer swim camp.
