Welcome to the Granbury High School BBQ page!
The 2024-2025 season marks our 5th competitive BBQ season. We started with 1 team of 4 kiddos and a rookie coach. Last season, we had 30+ kids and 5 teams, including a middle school team! We've also added another coach and a couple of mentors as well as amazing community sponsors.
Last season, we had an awesome, unique experience as one of 4 schools/teams filmed for a TV show, BBQ High! The season premiered with a double feature on Sunday, August 18, 2024 on Magnolia Network, Max, and Discovery Plus. There are 6 episodes total, and the show follows all of the schools as we battle it out for bragging rights, trophies, and scholarships. We hope you'll follow along! It's pretty cool.

The Granbury BBQ program is lead by GHS teachers Brianne Langdon, Crystal Burenheide, and Alissa Hansen, with help from several community members and mentors, including Will Leisure, Dustin Martin of Hill City Chop House, Justin West of Hat Creek Q, and James & Arica Dodson of Limp Brizkit Competition BBQ.
