Assalamu Alaikum! My name is Ambreen Zainul Abideen. This will be my first year at GIS and I am excited to be here. I graduated with a BS degree in Chemistry from Pakistan. I have been in the education industry since last 15 years. My teaching experience is rich with trainings from Pakistan and working in various schools, both in Pakistan and US. I am passionate about teaching and connecting with students while imparting knowledge. I look forward to assisting students with interactive lessons and exploration options with hands on experience. When I’m not teaching, you’ll probably find me working on art projects or working in my backyard, enjoying fresh nature out in the open .

I am Khala Zeba. I fell in love with teaching when I was an elementary school student and would pretend to be a teacher back then!! I officially started teaching in 1985, I have been teaching since then!  This is my 19th year at GIS and my 31st year of teaching overall.

I am excited to see you grow tall and mature after the summer. I am also thrilled to introduce you to Science and Technology and Earth Science in the first semester. Looking forward to seeing you all inshAllah.

My name is Miral Maamoun. My students call me  Ostatha Miral. By education, I am a physician from Egypt and a nutritionist who holds a Masters degree in Islamic studies from the Open Islamic University of Minnesota. I am honored and excited to teach science this year to your kids in 7th grade both sections A&B. Life science is my passion and I love to link it to everyday life along with other fields of knowledge that I am happy to share with my students. I enjoy discussions and unlimited questions about anything I teach. Teaching became a hobby and I got the experience that brought me closer to this generation's mind.  I can't wait to share my knowledge and start learning with, about, and from my students this year. توكلنا على الله

Assalamu Alaikum. My name is Farhana Afroz.

This is my 9th year teaching at GIS. I am also a Granada parent, Alhamdulillah. 

I teach 8th grade Science and HS Physics and Chemistry. I am the head of the Science Department.

I have a BS in Chemistry from Wichita State University and an MS in Analytical Chemistry from the University of Kansas.

I love science and strive to make science interesting for my students insha'Allah.
