We are excited to inform you that Granada Islamic School will continue to implement the Interactive Arabic Reading platform “Kutubee” for grades 1-6 this school year. 

Every student will receive a card with the URL link, username, and password by this week. In class, students will take a reading placement test to determine their reading level.

 Arabic teachers will assign one story to listen to, read, record, & take the quiz every week as homework. Also, the teacher will select stories related to the topics they teach and appropriate for their reading level as well. 

The following is a summary about Kutubee Platform for your reference, most important features of the platform, and quick instructions to log in for your kids.

Kutubee is a digital educational platform specializing in children’s audio and visual books that can be read in a fun and interactive way. The platform contains around 1,500 titles for children ages 3 to 14 in Arabic, English and French languages from several well-known Arabic and international publishing houses.

Books available on Kutubee platform are classified by:

• Subject

• IB - International Baccalaureate for Primary Years (PYP)

• Levelled Reading

• Age

Features of Kutubee:

Some of the students-related features are:

1. “Read to Me” Feature: Enables students to listen to audio stories while highlighting the read word simultaneously and without internet connection by downloading them on any smart device.

2. Recording voices using the Magic Pen: Parents, teachers and students can enrich the content of the stories by recording their voices creatively inside and outside the classroom.

3. Recording the students’ voice and sharing with teachers: Students can record the story with their voice and share it with their teachers

4. Highlight and Add to Vocabulary Feature: Students can highlight any word in the story or add it as a vocabulary entry and classify it based on different parts of speech.

5. Reading Assignments Feature: The teacher can assign a reading homework for each student, for a group of students, or for the whole class, depending on the students' and classes' learning needs.

6. Levelled Reading Program Feature: There are 3 programs of the Arabic Levelled Reading in the platform.

Using Kutubee application or web interface:

2. To enjoy reading on Kutubee, you need to enter your username and password, which will be provided by your school.

4. When you log in the first time, user interface  will be in Arabic but you can change to English (future log in will display the English interface)
