Student Evaluation

The grading system for the 6th Grade ELA Course is as follows: 

Tests: 50%

• Tests will consist of the following: multiple choice, true/false, analysis, or writing for comprehension. Assessments, SchoolNet, EOG released items, classroom novels, and etc.

Classwork/homework, group activities/participation & Minor Assignments: 30%

• This category consists of many different daily assignments that we will be completing in class. Any assignments that cannot be completed in the allotted class time will become homework.

• These will typically be due the following day; dates will be discussed in class.

Writing Assignments: 20%

• Focus on a moment in the text and develop a unique perspective about it, Explain which trait is most useful to problem-solving investigators, Write about the development of a shared theme

in two texts, Analyze how character traits assist a heroic character on their journey and Develop a question, conduct research, and create a multimedia project.
