Model the use of technology for your students. Students may be digital natives, but they have to be taught how to appropriately use technology in an educational setting.
Keep it Simple! Choose a few apps that work best for you and your students.
Communicate the lesson objectives and why they are using the chosen tech tool. This helps students maintain focus on the objectives/goals rather than the tech tool.
Technology should ALWAYS support and reinforce learning that is taking place, never precede it!
Students become bored with technology. Alone, tech may engage students for a moment, bit it will not be sustainable. The effective integration of technology in your lesson...paired with your teaching expertise...will increase student engagement every time!
