KUALA LUMPUR SOFT MOBILITY HUB

PROBLEM STATEMENT

Kuala Lumpur boasts a fascinating blend of old-world charm and contemporary sophistication as the economic, cultural and transportation hub of Malaysia. Like many rapidly growing cities, Kuala Lumpur faces challenges related to traffic congestion, inadequate public transportation, and urban sprawling. The city's road network experiences heavy traffic during peak hours, leading to congestion, pollution, and long commuting times for residents and commuters. Although soft mobility has been introduced to the urban scene in Kuala Lumpur, the usage are seen at small scale and segregated resulting in low integration levels among the streets in the city, thus it is needed to be promoted.

AIM

To design a Soft Mobility Hub to increase the accessibility of human movement along the Stretch of Jalan Tun Perak that promote Kuala Lumpur Downtown past mode of transportation to initiate a sense of culture appreciation among the local and non-locals in the vicinity.
