A Youth Activity Center that employs the concept of interlocking brick as a metaphor for fostering play and connection among youth. In light of Kuala Lumpur's rapid urban growth, there is an urgent need for recreational spaces that enhance youth engagement and strengthen community ties. This initiative aims to create a dynamic center that incorporates a variety of activities, featuring play areas for both structured and unstructured play, dedicated zones for arts and crafts, and social spaces designed to facilitate interaction.
Programs such as sports leagues, art exhibitions, and cultural events will be essential in cultivating a sense of ownership within the community. Ultimately, this Youth Activity Center aspires to connect youth with their community by offering engaging activities that promote social interaction and personal growth. By using the interlocking of brick as a building block for relationships and experiences, this project aims to empower young people while enhancing the social fabric of Kuala Lumpur’s urban environment, creating an inviting space where they can thrive and interact meaningfully with one another.
