[AGRO]PRENEUR CENTER @ KOTA TINGGI
Incubator Hub of Small Medium Enterprise for Agricultural Based Industry Incorperating Daylighting Strategies via Green Fenestration
The Agropreneur Center in Kota Tinggi is designed as a dynamic hub that integrates biophilic principles, linear spatial organization, and community-driven entrepreneurship. The project fosters innovation in agricultural businesses while promoting sustainability through vertical greenery, natural daylighting, and open plazas. The linear spatial layout ensures seamless movement between key zones, including co-working spaces, innovation labs, and community engagement areas like the urban plaza and recreational park.
Biophilic elements play a crucial role in enhancing comfort and productivity. Vertical green facades with climbing plants provide natural shading, reducing heat while optimizing daylight. Landscaped courtyards and permeable surfaces create a pleasant microclimate, while water features contribute to sustainable stormwater management. These strategies ensure a balance between built and natural environments, improving overall well-being.
The center supports agropreneurs with essential facilities such as innovation labs, training rooms, consultation spaces, and retail outlets for agricultural products. Co-working spaces encourage collaboration, while multipurpose halls and information centers foster community engagement. By combining nature-responsive design with entrepreneurial support, the Agropreneur Center strengthens rural economic growth, enhances environmental responsibility, and empowers the local agricultural community.
