PickleRally
Pickleball Training & Community Centre
Nestled within Seremban Town Centre, Negeri Sembilan, Malaysia, PickleRally is a low-energy pickleball training and community centre that responds to the rising demand for pickleball in Malaysia through a comprehensive ecosystem of sports, training, wellness, and social programmes. Comprising a hierarchy of dedicated training spaces, grandstands, training and standard courts, alongside a pro shop, pickleball-inspired fitness facilities, and thermal recovery spaces, the centre is envisioned as a catalyst for active living and community engagement. Inspired by the concept of porosity, the architecture embraces openness, visual connectivity, and seamless transitions between indoor and outdoor environments, dissolving conventional boundaries between public and private realms, as well as between nature and built form. Functioning as an urban sponge, the building absorbs and channels light, air, movement, and people, creating a dynamic and breathable environment that fosters interaction and well-being. Defined by expressive V-shaped steel columns and a rhythmic sawtooth roofscape that symbolises the energy and continuity of a rally, the building draws nature and community through a central social spine extending from an open social courtyard, creating a vibrant destination that promotes active lifestyles, strengthens social connections, and contributes to the urban revitalisation of Seremban.
