SENIKA TAIPING
TRADITIONAL CRAFT CENTRE
TRADITIONAL CRAFT CENTRE
SBEA 2138 | < YEAR 2 DESIGN 3 >
SENIKA is derived from the combination of two Malay words, “seni” (art) and “kraf” (craft), symbolizing the harmony between artistry and craftsmanship. The name reflects the centre’s mission to celebrate and preserve Taiping’s rich cultural heritage through traditional crafts such as batik and pottery. By integrating “seni” and “kraf,” SENIKA represents a space where creativity and heritage come together, serving as a platform for artisans, locals, and visitors to engage with and appreciate the artistic legacy of Taiping.
