For individuals with intellectual disabilities, the challenges of adjusting to adult services are particularly pronounced due to the unique nature of their needs and the specific support systems required. The loss of continuity between services becomes a critical issue, significantly impacting their ability to navigate and access appropriate resources during the transition from youth-oriented to adult-oriented services.
