Mangrove Treasure Hub
A Community-Centric Educational Nursery Hub, Catalyzing Mangrove Habitat Restoration and Advancing Blue Carbon Sequestration
The eradication of mangroves has led to the decrease of mangrove estates from 650,311 hectares in 1990 to 620,038 hectares in 2017. The Diminishing of such species is due to the lack of monetary value the mangrove species can provide. So, assigning a monetary value to the carbon sequestration and storage capacity of the mangrove ecosystem will create economic initiatives (carbon credit) for the conservation and restoration of mangroves, potentially preventing their destruction.

A floating concrete consists of two parts, a head and a fin. The head's concrete mixture is lighter than water, the two elements can float in addition to allowing mangrove roots to grow through the head. The fin's mixture (UHPC: ultra-high-performance concrete) is denser and strengthens the foundation, promoting marine life and barnacle growth.
In the attempt to restore the mangrove estate, A nursery bed was also proposed to increase the germination of propagules. This is also an attempt to advance and introduce carbon credit in the area.
