The K.I.D.Z is a children activity and therapy hub designed to support the growth, healing, and development of children, particularly those with ADHD and other mental health challenges. Located near Taman Tasik Taiping, the center integrates therapeutic practices with architectural design to create a safe, inclusive, and nurturing environment. By combining natural elements, sensory-balanced spaces, and a structured spatial arrangement, the design promotes creativity, social interaction, and emotional well-being. The project seeks to reimagine and reinforce the Old Taiping Market’s façade through modern timber construction techniques and adaptive aesthetic solutions, ensuring structural integrity, functional enhancements, and a culturally responsive design that reflects Taiping’s rich heritage as a "Pensioners Town."
This project involves designing an entrance gateway for a community or socio-culturally oriented building in Taiping, emphasizing timber construction, and ensuring the entrance is socially and culturally responsive, welcoming, and inclusive.
