Kidtopia is a children's hub that focuses on providing Early Intervention Programme (EIP) towards children with learning disabilities, mainly children with Down Syndrome. The potential client for this project is the New Horizon Society, an NGO that focuses their efforts on providing learning programmes to the poor and needy children with learning disabilities.
Entrance Statement
The entrance statement for KIdtopia is designed to be organic, contrasting with the main building that is much more rigid. The designer wishes to portray the playfulness of the children's hub by basing the design from a toy.
First Design
The objective of this project was to revitalize the facade of the Taiping Wet Market. The precedent study for the design was the Tomioka Chamber of Commerce, which is a mesmerizing timber structure with lattice patterns as its facade.
