Eco Hub @ Kampung Sungai Melayu
A Eco-Nature Escapade
The ECO HUB @ Kampung Sungai Melayu aiming to become central node of Kampung Sungai Melayu, proposes a building designed to harmonize with the mangrove environment. This hub will serve as a dedicated space for learning about fisheries and the mangrove ecosystem, featuring sustainable architecture constructed with materials that blend seamlessly with the natural surroundings and elevated structures to accommodate tidal flow. The ECO HUB will house interactive exhibits, classrooms, and short-stay accomodation to facilitate hands-on educational experiences, alongside spaces for researchers to study and promote mangrove conservation and sustainable fishing practices. Community engagement will be a core focus, with workshops, programs, and partnerships with locals aimed at educating residents and visitors on the importance of mangroves. Visitor amenities, including observation decks, walkways, and guided tours, will enhance eco-tourism and foster a deeper appreciation for local biodiversity. The vision is to establish the ECO HUB as a vibrant center for education, activities, and community involvement, promoting the preservation and appreciation of the mangrove ecosystem and sustainable fisheries in Kampung Sungai Melayu.
