I am Santa Maria Shithil, a third-year Ph.D. student in the Department of Computer Science at Stony Brook University, New York. Currently, I am working on Sustainability Aware Software Systems (SASSY) design project with Professor Shuai Mu. Specifically, my project goal is to reduce the energy consumption of the distributed systems. I am also co-advised by Professor Anshul Gandhi, and Erez Zadok. My research interests lie in the intersection of distributed systems, and computer networks, and I plan to do some works in these areas.
Apart from reading system research papers :), I really love reading books — both fiction and non-fiction. Although work kept me away from books for a while, I have committed to reading regularly again—even on the busiest days. You can check my GoodReads profile to see what I read, what’s next on my list, and my reviews.
