Over the next two weeks, we will be taking our Iowa Standardized Tests. Here are just a few suggestions that will help your child to do their best:

Our homework schedule has been modified. Please have your child practice weekly spelling words by doing their homework pages. However, we will NOT have a spelling test on Friday. We will also make every effort to complete both A and B sides of our Math sheets this week in order to eliminate Math homework.

~FYI Regarding Our Field Trip: The cost of $12.50 for students includes a pumpkin, straw maze, tractor hayride, farm zoo and “Life of a Pumpkin” talk. There is a cost of $4.00 for chaperones who are not among the first twenty to sign up. The $4.00 cost includes the straw maze, tractor hayride, “Life of a Pumpkin” talk, and a pumpkin is NOT included.

Reformation Cookie project: We will be learning about the Protestant Reformation during the last week of October. At the end of the lesson, we will make a cookie rendition of Luther’s Seal! We will need some special supplies for this project. We will have an account on Sign-Up Genius where you may sign-up to bring in some of the needed supplies, and also to respond if you are able to come in and help. The next newsletter will have the sign-up information. We will be decorating the cookies on October 31st. (All items purchased, and time spent may go towards volunteer hours).
