Anyone who has seen Mycah Pitman on stage knows that it is her true home. Vibrant and eye-catching, Mycah began her spotlit journey at the age of 3 in a toddler Ballet Class at Field of Dreams Performing Art Conservatory. Mycah was a devout ballerina there through her freshman year of high school, getting on pointe at the age of 12. As she got older, she began to dabble in contemporary, lyrical, jazz, and hip hop styles. She waited patiently to take her studio's Musical Theatre class and in fourth grade, Mycah participated in her first show - Annie Jr - her sobs opening the show as little orphan Molly. Enamored by everything, having found her true calling, she kept it up and has since been involved in 16 more productions (please don't ask her to pick a favorite, it's like asking her to pick her favorite child - she can, but it feels like cheating). Upon transferring to GRACE in her freshman year, Mycah found further home in the GRACE Theatre Department. In her freshman year, she was a part of the Theatre Elective and has been in the Advanced Theatre class for the past few years. She has had the great opportunity to play Juror 8 in 12 Angry Jurors, Gabriella in High School Musical, Emily in Our Town, and Ensemble and Dance Captain in Newsies. Last year, she was able to direct Echo for the Advanced Theatre One Act Director Project and she is thrilled to present Something to Keep Us Warm to you all for her junior year. Outside of theatre, you can find Mycah curled up in "her chair" in the living room, reading a book or watching a TV show or movie with her parents. She might also be in her room, writing songs on a guitar she never really learned how to play or laying on her bed, thinking about life (she will be asleep within the next twenty minutes). If she's not at home, she's probably driving with her windows down, singing a wide variety of songs at the top of her lungs, from indie pop to indie rock, 1960s to 2020s, alternative to Broadway. If you still can't find her, she's probably in the mountains, where she finds her true home secondary to the stage. As she starts to think about her higher education, Mycah currently plans to pursue a theatre degree in college, but knows that plans change, especially God's.
