HOMESCHOOLING IS A FLEXIABLE EDUCATION OPTION THAT ALLOWS PARENTS TO CHOOSE CURRICULUM, TEACHING METHODS, AND EDUCATIONAL MATERIALS OUTSIDE OF PUBLIC SCHOOL.

ENSURE THE PERSON OR PEOPLE HAVE REQUIRED QUALIFICATIONS
YOU MUST BE A PARENT OR LEGAL GUARDIAN TO FILE A DECLARATION OF INTENT TO HOMESCHOOL THAT CHILD. YOU MAY HIRE A TUTOR TO HELP HOMESCHOOL YOUR CHILD. THE TEACHING PARENT OR LEGAL GUARDIAN AND ANY TUTOR MUST HAVE A HIGH SCHOOL DIPLOMA OR GED.
SUMMIT ANNUAL DECLARATION OF INTENT(DOI)
WITHIN 30 DAYS AFTER YOU BEGIN HOMESCHOOLING, AND EVERY YEAR AFTER BY SEPTEMBER 1ST YOU MUST SUBMIT A DECLARATION OF INTENT TO UTILIZE A HOME STUDY PROGRAM TO THE GEORGIA DEPARTMENT OF LABOR GEORGIA DEPARTMENT OF LABOR HOME STUDY LINK
PROVIDE THE REQUIRED NUMBER OF INSTRUCTIONAL DAYS
DURING YOUR HOME STUDY SCHOOL YOUR PROGRAM MUST PROVIDE EQUIVALENT OF 180 DAYS OF EDUCATION WITH EACH SCHOOL DAY THAT CONSISTS OF 4 1/2 SCHOOL HOURS, UNLESS YOUR CHILD IS UNABLE TO COMPLY WITH THE REQUIREMENT
TEACH REQUIRED SUBJECTS
YOUR HOME STUDY PROGRAM MUST PROVIDE A BASIC EDUCATIONAL THAT INCLUDES, BUT IS NOT LIMITED TO, LANGUAGE ARTS, READING, MATHEMATICS, SCIENCE, AND SOCIAL STUDIES.
WRITE ANNUAL REPORTS
AT THE END OF EVERY SCHOOL YEAR YOU MUST WRITE A REPORT OF ANNUAL PROGRESS THAT YOUR CHILD MADE IN EACH OF THE REQUIRED SUBJECTS. YOU MUST KEEP THIS IN YOUR RECORDS FOR 3 YEARS. IT DOES NOT HAVE TO BE SUMMITED TO ANYONE.
TEST YOUR CHILD EVERY THREE YEARS AFTER CHILD COMPLETES 3RD GRADE.
YOUR CHILD MUST TAKE A NATIONALLY STANDARDIZED TEST "ADMINISTERED IN CONSULTAION WITH A PERSON IN THE ADMINISTRATION ANDINTERPRETATION OF NORM REFERENCE TEST." TRAINED AT LEAST EVERY THREE YEARS STARTING AT THE END OF 3RD GRADE. RECORDS OF TESTS SHOULD BE REATAINED BY PARENT/LEGAL GUARDIAN.

A WORLD VIEW GLOBAL APPROACH STYLE THAT CONNECTS LEARNER TO THE WORLD AND ADDS CULTURAL EMPHASIS TO STUDENTS.
UNCHOOLING
