Engineering Spirituality Participant Information

My name is John Lommel. I am currently a doctoral student at Azusa Pacific University and the Assistant Provost at Grace College and Theological Seminary. I am currently working on my dissertation exploring the intersection of a faculty member’s relationship with God and their discipline. Specifically, how may the scholar engineer’s relationship with God affect his or her discipline and vice versa. Although this exploration focuses on Christian scholar engineers, the process and findings may add to the overall discussion to the relationship of academia, faith, and spiritual formation.

I am seeking engineering faculty members who may be willing to share about their faith and professional journeys. Your participation would include an interview with me for approximately 90-minutes, answering follow-up questions, and confirming that I correctly understand your experiences. The interview would cover your faith/spiritual development, your career as an engineer, and your career as a faculty member.

If you would like to participate in, or would like more information regarding this study, please contact me at john.lommel@grace.edu, or complete the attached form.
