About the Library

District Library Mission Statement:

The mission of the Gladbrook-Reinbeck School library program is to empower students to independently and collaboratively discover, explore, and create in an inclusive and flexible student-centered learning environment that provides access to updated print and electronic resources, fostering a love of reading and lifelong learning.

Each building's library is open all day every school day, from 8:00am until 3:30pm

> Mrs. Biederman may be out of the district, Susie at the elementary may be in another classroom or helping another teacher, or Mrs. Adair at the high school may be assisting in another room. If students or staff members would like to check books out when any of these ladies are away, please send them an email or fill out the Google Form: Library Book Request Form.

> We are not open for checkout during summer break, although library books can be returned to the building's secretary as needed.

The library is always open for students to read, work on school assignments, or take tests, so long as they have classroom teacher permission. Due to sanitizing and room sharing processes this year, please reach out to Mrs. Biederman first. Please note, each library is not staffed for a portion of each day, so please check with each building's secretary on room availability, or email Mrs. Biederman.
