Student Instructors are students who are at least 13 years old and have achieved Purple Trim Belt rank that have started helping teach classes. They will spend two to three months under the direction of one of the instructors learning how to teach. After this time period and review, they will be moved up to the Assistant Instructor status. They will then be given students without being under the direct supervision of an instructor.
Senior students are encouraged to participate in teaching younger students as early as possible. It helps them gain skills that will be useful to their own martial arts journeys as they work towards Black Belt. All students are required to spend at least 6 months of time helping teach before they can test for Black Belt.
