Hello! My name is Samantha Henning. I grew up in Clarkson, a small rural community in Northeast Nebraska. Living in a small town and attending school with the same twenty-something students in my class allowed me to participate in many activities and to become close with friends and neighbors. It's so fun to look back at those memories and life lessons. I then attended Wayne State College for Elementary Education (undergraduate) as well as Curriculum and Instruction (graduate). I am currently an adjunct faculty of WSC as a facilitator of a Graduate Program. One weekend a month I get together with the same group of teachers for two years as they work through their program. I feel lucky to be able to work with both children and adults on their 'edventures' each year!
When I'm not at school I enjoy spending time with my family. My husband Lee and I have two children. Greta is sweet, stubborn, and a bit sassy. She loves climbing outside, helping in the garden, and playing farm. She turned 5 in July & will be back in Preschool in September! Otto is 3 1/2 years old and is a very active little guy, especially when we are outside. He loves to play with dinosaurs, trucks, and trains. He also seems to like playing with his big sister. We enjoy our family time with our two littles. I also enjoy reading, walking with our dogs Cora & Rosie, riding bikes, hiking, relaxing at the lake, and spending time with my family and friends. You'll also find us cheering for the Huskers on Saturdays and the Chiefs on Sundays. Go Big Red! I'm sure we have something in common and I am looking forward to getting to know you this school year.
