About Mrs. Burk

Hello!

This is my 11th year of teaching! I taught for 9 years in Papillion before coming to Gretna. I’ve taught 3rd, 4th, and 5th grade. They each have their own strengths, but I really love 5th. I received my Bachelor's Degree in Elementary Education from UNL in 2013, then went back to school to get my Master's Degree in Curriculum and Instruction from Peru State in 2017. I strongly believe that everyone is a lifelong learner!

I grew up in Omaha and moved to Gretna with my husband in 2017. We have a son named Henry who turned two in April, and a rescue dog named Margot. My husband is a basketball coach in Lincoln, so I spend a lot of my free time watching basketball! I also love reading, spending time outside, and attempting DIY projects. Some things that are guaranteed to brighten my day are a nice note from a student, a good cup of tea, and chocolate!
