Weekly Tidbits
What's are we up to? (May 17-21)
WRITING: Students will do some fairy tale writing this week! They will be creating a NEW version of a classic fairy tale.
SOCIAL STUDIES/SCIENCE: Students will learn about weather-related natural hazards. They will also read about how to stay safe during severe weather. On Wednesday they will do a STEM project. On Thursday they will be taking a virtual field trip to the San Diego Zoo!
GRAMMAR: Students will learn about "shades of meaning" with words.
SPELLING: Students will practice spelling words with different suffixes.
READING: We will be reviewing concepts learned in Unit 6 and completing our Unit 6 assessments.
MATH: We will continue our Geometry unit. During this week we will focus on perimeter and area.

MONDAY (May 17)
WRITING: Watch video. Listen to two versions of The Three Little Pigs. Write down 3 ways they are alike and 3 ways they are different. Submit your work on Seesaw.
SCIENCE: Watch video. Respond to questions on Google Classroom. Submit your work on Seesaw. Read the weather safety information posted on Google Classroom.
GRAMMAR: Shades of Meaning Assignment Jamboard
MATH: Watch Lesson 16-2 Visual Learning Video. Complete Solve and Share on p. 853. Complete problems assigned to your group (on Google Classroom) on pages 857-858.
