See which projects are planned for this summer!
The Mitcho family name has long been synonymous with education in Glassboro. The Glassboro Board of Education unanimously passed two resolutions: One to name the district’s future early childhood development center at Rowan “The Mitcho Early Childhood Center” and second to name the J. Harvey Rodgers School current and soon-to-be extended preschool wing the “The Mitcho Family Wing.”
“The Mitcho Early Childhood Center” will open this fall and will benefit Glassboro families by immediately expanding Glassboro’s preschool program by two classrooms.
Thanks to community approval of a districtwide referendum last November, future construction at J. Harvey Rodgers School will feature an expansion of “The Mitcho Family Wing” to include nine additional classrooms.

The Joseph Brigandi Sr. Gymnasium at Thomas E. Bowe Middle School renovations will begin this summer. Projects include:
Repair roofing above the gym to alleviate leaks and prevent damage, plus extend the life of this roofing
Replace damaged flooring with new vinyl sports floor
Replace bleachers
Install new scoreboard and wall padding
Replace basketball backstops
Paint walls and ceiling
Roofing replacement in selected areas of Rodgers will reduce the risk for leaks and provide a 30-year warranty.
A new roof at the Administration Building will reduce the risk for leaks and costly repairs.
USA General Contractors Corp., 167 State Rt. 33, Manalapan, NJ was awarded the contract to replace both roofs.
The bid for this work was awarded at the March 25, 2026 Board of Education meeting.
