Our goal and purpose in implementing PBIS is to have common language and to teach children to be safe and kind.
We want to recognize and celebrate our children's efforts.
How?
Children are taught safe and kind expectations for each area of the school.
Children receive positive feedback for demonstrating safe and kind behaviors (aka Pom-Poms!). A blue pom-pom for being safe and a green pom-pom for being kind.
Child success is celebrated (when the class PBIS jar is filled with Pom-Poms) with a whole class reward and child certificates delivered by BUDDY (our school mascot)!
