Uniforms

The concert uniform is meant to create a unified look among the group, so that both performer and audience can focus on the music being performed rather than on individual attire. Wearing the GMS music uniform is a requirement for all performances. A student not in uniform will not be allowed to perform. 

All music students in grades 6-8 wear the same concert uniform:  

• Music department polo shirt

• Black dressy pants (no rips or holes, no pj/lounge pants)

• Black socks/nylons (or no socks if appropriate for shoes being worn)

• Black shoes (shoes must be appropriate for a performance and must be SOLID BLACK)

A uniform order form will be sent home during the first week of classes. This order form will also provide the opportunity for students to exchange last year's shirt for a different size.
