Mr. Benjamin Mohr is the Grandville High School Choir Director and is in his fourth year in the district. Mr. Mohr has previously taught elementary music, middle and high school choir, and middle school orchestra. Mr. Mohr is pursuing a Master's Degree in Choral Conducting at Michigan State over the summers. He graduated from Calvin University in 2018 with degrees in Music and Speech Pathology and received his teaching certification through Grand Valley State University's Graduate Teacher Certification program.
Mr. Mohr performs regularly as a vocalist and violinist in the Grand Rapids area. He sings with VoxGR, a professional choral ensemble in West MI. In addition to teaching, Mr. Mohr has spent 7 summers (2017-2024) working and teaching at Blue Lake Fine Arts Camp in Muskegon, MI. A west MI native, he is thrilled to be teaching secondary choir in Grandville and be part of an amazing music staff throughout the district.
Mrs. Erin Wegener is the Grandville High School Choir Accompanist. She received her Bachelor’s and Master’s degrees in Music Therapy from Western Michigan University in 2007 and 2009 and studied piano with Dr. Silvia Roederer and Dr. Stephen Zegree. Mrs. Wegener was employed as a lead music therapist with Corewell Health until 2021 when she transitioned to Grandville Public Schools. Her four children also attend school in the GPS district. She enjoys making music daily with Grandville choirs, substituting for local liturgical musicians, and teaching piano lessons.
