Dallas County Promise

Is now open!

The Dallas County Promise Program supports students in navigating their best-fit postsecondary options with the ultimate goal for students to be successful in college, career, and life. Promise Scholars can be offered a last-dollar tuition grant to help reduce financial barriers present in accessing a postsecondary education at partner colleges and universities.

College advisors will be meeting with seniors during Senior Chats! Each senior will complete the Dallas County Promise (DCP) Path Form. The DCP Path Form will allow college advisors to see what each student is planning to do after high school. This information will be used to help guide future conversations and ensure that all students are on the path to a success post- grad journey! The Common App allows students to apply to multiple schools at once. About 950 colleges and universities around the world accept the Common App. 36 Texas schools are offered. Click the link below to learn more or start an application.

Common Black College APplication

TRANSCRIPT Request

GreenLight Locker is a secured "digital locker" of vital credentials and required documents that follow students from high school to college and into the workforce. Built on blockchain technology, GreenLight's platform securely connects high schools, students, colleges, and employers.

SAT/ACT AND APPLICATION FEE WAIVERS

Students who qualify for the free and reduced lunch program are eligible for testing and application fee waivers! Students can get a fee waiver from their advisor.

If a student has questions about their free/reduced lunch status, please have them stop by to see an advisor to check on their status. Families are eligible to apply for the free and reduced lunch program through GPISD.

Students who need help with registering for SAT or ACT can come see their advisor for assistance. For help with the TSI, please contact Courtney Lee at Courtney.Lee@gpisd.org
