This year I had to face challenges in order to keep going through the school year. This year I decided to do sports which I had to be keeping track of my grades in order to play in games. Another challenge I had to face this year was doing my homework on time. I got into some programs out of school and I would have to do my homework when I got home. I did not get a lot of sleep so I had to quit some of the out of school programs. 

An academic achievement of this year that I'm really proud of is being in all advanced classes. I was able to stay in advanced classes by doing my best in completing most of my work. This helps my future goals because I'm able to have more knowledge of the grade above. This year I also decide to join student council and I was able to learn new things to help the school. 

My personal values have evolved this year. My actions this year did not align with what I wanted to achieve. This year I wanted to have a straight a honor roll for the whole year but I wasn't able to keep up with most of my assignments. I could not keep up with this do to various activities I got in. My personal values changed to at least be passing with A and B instead of only A's. I changed my personal values this year because I was not gonna keep managing to keep doing a lot of stuff on time.

Something I would like to do for my community would be to keep our environment more clean. this year I got to contribute in keeping my school clean. After games I would stay and help my teacher clean up the gym. This helped the custodians do less work. Not only I was able to help clean our school gym but I was also able to help the custodians do their work.

A quality I value in my friendships is honesty, loyalty, and being kind. I value this qualities because I am able to trust them and have someone to talk to. Having loyal friends is really important with me because they are there when I always need them. Honesty is also very important because Im able to talk to someone that is truthful to me and doesn't hide things from me. I like having kind friends because other friend wont feel left out during conversations and we all get to have a good time.

This year my time management skills were not the best. I had to wake up much early than last year to be able to do my own things. Waking up more early helped me keep good care of my health. Some areas that I need improvement in is turning work on time. I did not manage turning my work on time because I would leave everything to the last minute. My time management skills need more improvement for the next school year.

An obstacle I had to overcome this year was focusing in social studies. This year I had advanced social studies and at first it was hard to focus because there were things I did not know. Something I did to try to understand more of what my teacher was saying was taking notes. I would also study about what we would talk about in class so for the next time I would have more knowledge. At first it was hard to focus but then I started to focus because it was information I was close with.

A global event that happened this year was climate change. During this school year there was snow in Texas. Due to the snow we were not able to come to school. 

The ways I expressed my creativity this year was by writing. Everyday after school I would write on a journal about my day and express my self. Writing help me express my creativity because writing down what I thought made me think of things in a different perspective. Expressing creativity through writing helped me acknowledge the things I could not see on a normal day at school. I learned that creativity cannot just be expressed in color, drawings or music and that there is more ways to express my creativity.

This year social media was a negative impact and a positive impact at the same time. A negative impact I had with social media was that I was too much on my phone that I would forget about school work. A positive impact with social media was that I was able to study things at home that I did not have an answer to. Even though social media had a positive and negative impact it could have been better if I managed to use it more wisely.  Social media can be bad do to not using it in a good way but technology is still helpful.
