A NOTE FROM MISS SHUPTRINE
I can't believe we are already in September. We just finished our unit on operations with fractions, and for most students it was a struggle. We will continue to practice with fractions in class some, but students need to spend time out of class reviewing as well. We are starting our third unit this week, Real Number System. Students will learn how to classify numbers, how to change fractions, decimals and percents and how to order numbers. It is a challenging unit with a lot of content. Please encourage your student to practice at home. Their are plenty of practice materials available on Google Classroom or on paper in my class.
Our first district test is coming up on September 23rd, and I want us all to be ready!

No puedo creer que ya estemos en septiembre. Acabamos de terminar nuestra unidad sobre operaciones con fracciones, y para la mayoría de los estudiantes fue un desafío. Continuaremos practicando con fracciones en clase, pero los estudiantes también necesitan dedicar tiempo fuera de clase a repasar. Esta semana comenzamos nuestra tercera unidad, el Sistema de Números Reales. Los estudiantes aprenderán a clasificar números, a convertir fracciones, decimales y porcentajes, y a ordenar números. Es una unidad desafiante con mucho contenido. Por favor, anímen a su estudiante a practicar en casa. Hay muchos materiales de práctica disponibles en Google Classroom o en papel en mi clase.
¡Nuestra primera prueba del distrito se acercará el 23 de septiembre, y quiero que todos estemos listos!
