Hello, I am Mr. Resendiz. I have been a teacher here at GPISD for 8 years now, and I am very excited to teach ADV English II here at North Shore 10.
Students in my ADV English II class will be reading and writing digitally as well as with pencil/pen and paper. We will be reading a variety of texts including but not limited to fiction pieces, informational texts, poems, and plays. Although I do not expect every student to like or connect to the different works that we read during class, I do expect them to be attentive and engage with the pieces and be ready to discuss or write about their interpretations.
The supplies for this class will include 1 notebook (spiral, composition, book, or folder with paper) for the students to use exclusively for this class. This is where the majority of the handwritten work will be done. At the end of the 6 weeks grading period, the students will be turning in these notebooks to be graded for a test grade.
Grading breakdown
Daily work - 40% - Every day assignments, worksheets, journal entries, etc.
