8th Grade

In 8th grade, I was able to accomplish many different things. This year was very different than last year, as I began taking a high school class. I took all advanced classes this year and took similar classes as I did last year. I was able to make more friends this year than I did last year and hope to make even more new friends soon!

This year I accomplished getting all A's for the 1st semester and hope to be able to get all A's for the year. One of my accomplishments is winning first place in my school's STEM challenge which gave me the chance to compete in the district STEM challenge. I am in the Girls STEM club and have been a part of it for three years now, while also participating in the Woodland Acres Middle School STEM club. I began taking the video game design class this year which is very different from art, that I took last year, and I have learned so many more new things in that class. I am a part of the Wind Ensemble Band, Varsity Girls Choir, and Varsity Mixed Choir. 

Next year I hope to continue to be in the band and become a better clarinet player. I would like to join the marching band at Galena Park High School as well. I would like to become a better singer and stay in the Varsity Choir in high school. I would hope that I am able to pass all my STARR tests again this year like I did last year. As well as wanting to get a one for solo and ensemble again this year for both band and choir, as last year I only did a solo and this year I get to do an ensemble as well. 

Although this year was different than I thought it would it was still a very good year for me.  I am so sad to be leaving middle school but I can't wait for the new things to come in high school. I enjoyed this year very much and hope to accomplish more next year.
