English III & IV EOC Teacher

Greetings!!

Welcome to our English III & IV EOC class at North Shore Senior High School. I'm Ms. Victoria Barrera, your English EOC teacher. It's a thrill to embark on this journey with you at the Senior High this year!

I earned my Bachelor's Degree in Education from the University of Houston in 2004, and my Master's Degree in Curriculum and Instruction from The University of Texas at Arlington in 2022. This school year, 2025-26, marks my second year at the Senior High, and my 22nd year in the teaching profession. Prior to joining the high school ranks, I spent two decades teaching at the elementary level, with the last 19 of them being here in Galena Park ISD.

My family includes two sons: a sophomore at NS10, and the other pursuing his post secondary studies at the University of Houston. Outside of school, I relish reading, indulging in movies, and creating memories with my loved ones.

I'm genuinely thrilled to be a part of your educational journey this year. Together, we'll delve into the joys of reading and writing, surmounting our goals along the way!
