Welcome! My name is Gwendolyn Richardson, P.E. " Ms G" I have the pleasure of being the Mentor/ Instructor for the STEM (Science Technology Engineering Mathematics) Endorsement Classes here at GPHS. We are excited and waiting to meet you!

STEM (Science, Technology, Engineering, and Mathematics) Education is a method of hands-on teaching and learning where students learn to apply academic content by creatively solving real-world problems with innovative design-based thinking to prepare students for future career opportunities.

I am excited to be an instructor in Galena Park ISD. Prior to 2017, I have been a practicing engineer in the field of Civil Engineering for 37 years. Since becoming an Mentor for a few promising University students pursuing a degree in Engineering, I was given this opportunity to expand my passion to not only teach/mentor high school students who have an interest in engineering but to expose each student to the many facets of who an engineer is and what an engineer does. The virtual remote learning experience is challenging (only because we have to be real creative in hands on projects) not to mention partnering with other students! Let's be clear a pandemic has not and will not deter a student who has the desire to know more about this career path of study and hopefully have fun interacting with me! The year 2020 is definitely setting some historical and monumental moments! Our goal is to put our positive Yellow Jacket stamp on it while we social distance.
