Medieval Ages Time Period

Introduction

When you think of the medieval ages you think of dragons, nights, kings, and queens magical wizards. Well, most of those just said we're not that real. What you should be thinking about are 3 main things about the medieval ages the feudal system, Jousting, and last but not least inside castles! There is much more talk about these topics to talk about, but sadly they were too hard to fit in with the theme.

Feudalism

The Feudalism system Was a system that conducted where people were, and what they were doing at the time. Some tradespeople were assigned were masonry, Bakers, farmers, and slaves. Then we will start from the lowest level to the highest rank.

Slaves: Slaves were the poor useless people in the kingdom. They had no sort of privilege. No one of the slaves was able to become a higher rank. They were not available to the public. They were mostly found on the outskirts of the kingdom. The only available job was picking up food and cleaning.

Salesmen And builders: Salesmen were of higher ranks they sold metals, crops, weapons, and masonry items such as bricks and bowls for stew. Builder men were builders who either helped expand the castle in the walls, built houses, or expanded the king's castle.

Nobles and Knights: Nobles and Knights were the superior people In the castle. KNights had the job to protect the kingdom with all their might, They would tell what the people should do and where they should go. Nights would also compete in games such as Jousting. Nobles were people such as priests, And landowners, They would choose if they can build this item or start a business.

Kings and Queens: Kings and Queens held up the whole kingdom They planned out how things such as war, and buildings. They held all the currency such as gold. If anyone was to mess with them they would be sentenced to death depending on the king's opinion.

Jousting

According to the article, In the medieval ages, the main attraction of sports was jousting. Jousting was used to entertain because at the time there was no technology.

How the game is played: Two men over the age of 18 are to ride on 2 horses with a lance. First-person to get knocked off the horse is to give the winner the jouster's armor.

Objective: You are to charge against an opponent on your horse, Points were determined by how the player struck the opponent. More points are earned if you are to break the opponent's armor in battle. How many times are you allowed to charge the opponent?: You have 4 chances to strike your opponent. What armor did they use and what horse did they ride?: A Jouster would ride on a Destrier breed. The breed would be able to reach speeds up to as 50-60 miles per hour. That is 2 times faster than the fastest man on earth, maybe even more. The armor was carefully crafted to be 1-3 millimeters thick, the armor was 60 pounds in weight. Anything over the size of the armor would be considered cheating. Rewards!

The reward For winning a game of jousting was a kiss from the most beautiful girl in the town. Known as the princes. Along with great riches.

Life In A Medieval Castle.

You're probably wondering what life was like in the medieval ages in a medieval castle.

Life was rough in those times and here are some reasons why the medieval ages were terrible!

Restrooms and Privacy: Yes of course restrooms were a thing in the medieval ages they were just not as civilized in the ways they were built. They were built out of concrete or stone so it was rough to sit on them. People were not as smart enough to think of putting carpet or anything on the whole plus it would get very dirty as time goes on. A lot of the time there would animals on the whole and the human would be bitten. Well, there is not much to talk about privacy The reason why the privacy was low was that in small towns/castles not many people knew about locks.

Food and religion: Food was always meat. The meat was good for the people at the time because no chemicals were not used at the time, meat helps us grow in the bones making us meatier. Vegetables would also be on the table. Vegetables would be used for speed it would make us healthier while being meatier and fast.

Bedrooms: Bedrooms were huge a average bedroom was about the size of an apartment living room, dining room, and a kitchen combined. Toys were hardly made so people can easily put clothing into their closets and baskets. Mades were also used so they could bring them food and clothing.

Conclusion

The middle ages was a weird time period. Everything in this passage did actually happen so be aware More can be found on my work cited page. The middle ages were the most important part of the world. Without it so much culture would be lost.
