About Me

Welcome! I'm Coach Rivera, and I have been an educator since 2008. I earned my Bachelor of Science in Health and Human Performance from Prairie View A&M University and my Master of Education from Lamar University.

Before becoming an educator, I competed as a collegiate cross-country runner at Prairie View A&M University. I am proud to be a member of the 2005 Men's Cross-Country Team, which will be inducted into the Prairie View A&M University Sports Hall of  Fame in 2026.

As a PE teacher, I believe every child should have the opportunity to move, learn, have fun, and experience success. My goal is to create a positive environment where students build confidence, develop healthy habits, practice teamwork and sportsmanship, and discover a lifelong love of physical activity.
