During this class you will be introduced to the use of the Spanish language, such as sentence structure, verb conjugation and much more (reading/speaking/writing/listening). The class will be directed only in the target language. There is a textbook (Auténtico III) that accompanies the class, along with other resources to help the study of the language. Along with learning grammar and vocabulary, we will also take a look at the culture, because you can’t learn a language without learning about their culture!
In this Spanish course, students will build a foundation of the Spanish language through speaking, writing, listening and reading. Through practice in and out of class, students will work towards Spanish proficiency in the following areas:
Speaking
Writing
Listening
Reading
In addition, culture and customs of the Spanish speaking world are taught throughout the year. For each unit of study, students will have the opportunity to read about various aspects of culture in the target language.
