Class overview
Explain the foundations of democratic rule in the American colonies.
Identify the freedoms provided to all citizens in the Bill of Rights.
Examine the rise of the abolitionist movement.
Use different methods to remember key themes of events that have taken place
Understand a timeline for history
Describe the cultural and economic challenges facing new immigrants.
Students will be given a binder, a pencil, pen, and a pouch that they keep in their classroom. Reminder that the 8th grade year is difficult for a lot of students, which is why parent involvement is critical. Please contact me with any questions or concerns you have about your child's progress in my class. That being said, I allow students to make up any grade in my class up until the last week of the 9 weeks.

About me
Hello, everyone. This is a picture of me with my son. I taught 8th grade Social Studies at both WAMS and GP Middle and am excited for this school year. I am a very passionate nerd that actually was able to start an esports program after school for GP middle. I am hoping that we can do that again, and I will let you know after we meet how we can try and implement that program at WAMS.
