  Dog Man    The Scarlet Shedder

DOG MAN The SCARLeT SheDDeR is a book wrote by Dav Pilkey. The book is a humorous graphic novel. The book’s humor and the way it’s wrote is probably the best part. This book was really fun to read and I laughed a lot. The plot is also really good. If you read this book I guarantee you won’t be disappointed. 

The main characters in Dog Man The Scarlet Shedder that I want to talk about are Dog Man and Li’l Petey. Dog Man is funny, loyal, dogish, and joyful. Dog Man is always happy and excited especially when he sees Chief. Dog Man also gets distracted easily and can get off task. However, I appreciate how he is always happy and in a good mood. Li’l Petey is smart, loyal, jolly, and bright. Li’l Petey is a very smart cat and always trying to find solutions. Li’l Petey always looks on the bright side of things and doesn’t focus on the negatives too much. I appreciate that he is always looking on the bright side and never worrying about what may happen next.

The story takes place in a weird, amazing, and action packed city where it seems everyday there is a new conflict. The story most likely takes place during the summer because the grass was green, the flowers had sprung ,and it was just a tad  bit rainy.

The story contains flashbacks. The main conflict in the story is that Artificial Intelligence takes over the city and the Supa Buddies have to put a stop to A.I. 's reign of terror. The theme of the story is that it is important to be good no matter what. Another theme that can be taken away from a flashback is that,“  It’s not about what happens to us It’s how we react to it.” 

This book could be better if the conflict was bigger and if the conflict lasted longer. The author could have added more little conflicts as well to make the book better.

Dog Man The Scarlet Shedder is hilarious and filled with action. Dog Man fights really cool villains, which makes the book exciting to read. The characters are weird but in a good way that makes the book even funnier. Plus, the book is wrote like a comic, so it’s easy to read. The book has lots of funny pictures and moments. People my age should read this book because it’s just super funny and has lots of action and it’s easy to read so there's no reason not to. I enjoy this book so much because of the humor, characters, conflict, and I like Dav Pilkey. All people that have a sense of humor like mine should read this book. It will not disappoint!
