Class overview
Welcome to 6th Grade Social Studies! This year, we will explore the rich history, geography, and cultures that shape our world, with a special focus on Texas and its unique place in American history. Students will develop critical thinking skills, learn to analyze historical events, and understand how geography influences societies.
About me
Hi I am Ms. Meeks. I am a native Texan and proud graduate of the University of Houston, where I earned a Bachelor of Science in Interdisciplinary Studies Grades 4-8. I am currently enrolled at Texas A&M in pursuit of my master's degree in leadership.
This is my 12th year teaching middle school and 9th year with Galena Park. I have a grown son, who also teaches.
