My name is Scott Lipscomb, and this will be my 15th year teaching Music at Pyburn.
I graduated from Texas State University with a Bachelors degree in Music Education with an emphasis on choral music. I am a classically trained Baritone singer. I have participated in a variety of musical groups including several university ensembles including the University Singers, Vocalibre and the Men's Choir. I have performed on the international stage with several Barbershop ensembles including The Marcsmen and The Heart of Texas Chorus where we achieved 9th place in the world.
I have had a deep passion for music and fine arts and wish to instill a long-lasting appreciation for the impact music can have on our lives. The music room is filled with fun and song, where we learn not only about the fundamentals of music, but also incorporate movement, dance, instrumentation, and most importantly learn how to use our singing to the fullest capacity. I am also the head director of the Pyburn Honor Choir, one of our after school fine arts groups, and I can't wait to hear all of our students' voices come together in song.
