Today is Thursday, September 24th. Have a great school day!
The annual Houston Water Contest changed things up last year! They decided to do a TikTok contest and asked students to create an "influencer" video that informs people about the importance of water: conservation tips, recycling, "A Day Without Water," "I Love Water," were all welcome ideas. The city was happy to see Animated entries and awarded a couple of our students with a nice ceremony downtown.

The annual Iwrite Contest includes short stories, poetry, and art. Past years' themes have included "I am Texas," and is literally a 7-foot tall book. The largest published book in the world. So large, it actually made it into the Guinness Book of World Records. In addition to our students winning a place in the record-breaking book, the library won a $5000 grant, as well. Local News station, Channel 2, covered the story.
