Hello and Welcome to the Home of the Champions!  My name is Dana Peters, and I am excited to be one of the counselors at NSMS.  This is my 29th year in education and ninth year as a school counselor.  I am also the Personal Graduation Plan (PGP) Coordinator at NSMS.  I obtained my Bachelor's degree from the University of Houston-Downtown and a Masters of Education in School Counseling at Prairie View A & M University.  I am also a member of the American School Counselor Association. 

My goal is to help students reach their full potential by providing a comprehensive counseling program that meets their academic, personal, social, and career goals.  I am looking forward to meeting each one of you this year.

LaToya Jordan, is a Crisis Intervention Specialist for Communities In Schools of Southeast Harris County. She holds a Bachelors Degree from Lamar University and prior to coming to the school sector, she worked in Investigations for The Department of Family and Protective Services.  She is currently enrolled in Prairie View A&M University’s Graduate School for Social Work. She is currently apart of GPISD’s Mental Health Intervention Team, North Shore Middle School’s Threat Assessment Team, and a part the GPISD’s Crisis Response Team. She has a passion for helping children and families and is an advocate for healthy relationship building.
