Mr. Gutierrez, from the Rio Grande Valley in South Texas, has been playing the French Horn for 20+ years and is entering his 11th year of teaching. He leads the Wind Ensemble and Cadet Band and supports the Symphonic, Philharmonic, and Concert Band. Mr. Gutierrez is passionate about instilling a love for music in his students, spending time with his two dogs, Hans_Z and Tyson, and getting a good workout in at the gym. He welcomes you to our NSMS Band family and looks forward to an amazing school year!

Ms. Rubio is from Fort Worth, TX, and attended the University of North Texas. She has been playing clarinet for 22 years and teaching middle school band for 9 years. She leads the Symphonic Band class and assists with the Wind Ensemble, Philharmonic, Concert, and Cadet Band classes at NSMS, as well as the Oboe/Bassoon class at Cobb 6th Grade Campus. She enjoys teaching all of her students, reading, makeup artistry, playing with her dog Finn, and spending time with her family. 🤩 Mrs. Rubio welcomes you to the NSMS band family!
