Welcome!

I am Ms. Nguyen and I've been working in Galena Park ISD since 2013 as an art teacher from North Shore Middle School and this will be my first year at North Shore 9! I attended the University of Houston and graduated with a Bachelor of Art Education. I look forward to teaching Art I and Advance Art I for 2023-24 and I am excited to enrich and teach art to all students! Get fired up because we're going to draw, make mistakes, and get creative!

Oh right, let's take a minute to discuss the pronunciation of my last name, "Nguyen." My parents are from Vietnam and Southern Vietnamese tend to clip some of their sounds, so Nguyen would be pronounced something like “Win” or “Wen.” So think of it as "You can't lose when you got "Nguyen."

Instructions: This school year we will be using Google Classroom part of our Blended Learning for students to incorporate technology into the learning environment. You should be already automatically enrolled into Google Classroom at this time or you will be able to receive the code in class on the first day. You are responsible for making sure you are added to the Google Classroom and that you are able to make contact with me, Ms. Nguyen, on Google Classroom as this is where you will get access to the Google Meet and your Assignments to post and upload.
