My name is Angelina Gaskin, and I am so excited to welcome you and
your child to first grade! I recently graduated from the University of
Houston–Clear Lake with a degree in PreK–3rd Grade Education, and I
am thrilled to begin this journey as your child’s teacher.
My passion for education began during high school when I participated
in a mentorship program at McWhirter Elementary. Since then, I’ve
been committed to working with young learners and helping them grow
both academically and personally. Most recently, I completed my
student teaching in a first-grade classroom at Parker Elementary, where
I gained valuable experience in classroom management, lesson
planning, and building strong student relationships.
In our classroom, I aim to create a safe, welcoming, and engaging
learning environment where every child feels supported and
encouraged. I believe that learning should be fun and that every
student deserves to be challenged, celebrated, and heard. I also
emphasize respect, curiosity, and kindness, and I work hard to model
those values every day.
I believe that strong communication between home and school is key to
student success. You can expect regular updates about what we’re
learning and how your child is progressing. Please don’t hesitate to
reach out if you ever have questions or just want to connect—I truly
value your partnership.
Thank you for the opportunity to be part of your child’s first grade
experience. I’m looking forward to an amazing year filled with learning,
laughter, and growth!
