Welcome to 5th Grade!

Hi! I’m Ms. Jasso, and I’m so excited to be your homeroom teacher this school year. I’m an enthusiastic, talkative, and adventurous educator who’s passionate about helping students reach their full potential. I believe in building self-esteem and confidence through strong relationships rooted in trust, support, and respect.

This year marks my 15th year in education. I think I deserve a quinceañera! 🎉 I’ve taught every elementary grade, as well as 8th grade middle school. I hold a Master’s degree in Curriculum and Instruction and am always looking for ways to grow and improve as an educator. This will be my 3rd year at MacArthur, and I absolutely love the community and the students ("kiddos") I get to work with every day. It’s been an amazing journey.

I’m firm and structured in the classroom, but everything I do comes from a place of love for teaching and the joy of witnessing my students' growth throughout the year.

Outside the classroom, I enjoy new adventures, traveling, and spending time with my family and friends. I’m also a proud coffee fanatic, dark chocolate addict, and taco lover! 😊
